Montjuic's Magic Fountain, or simply called Montjuic's Fountain, is located in the avenue Maria Cristina, in Montjuic.

It was built for the Universal Exhibition of 1929 by Carles Buïgas in the same place where the four columns of Josep Puig I Caldafach were, until they were knocked down in 1928.

The fountain is the main element of the games of light and water set that develops in the whole axis from the Palau Nacional to the Plaça d’Espanya and includes not only waterfalls and reservoirs but also, in the lower part, rows of luminous columns on both sides of the avenue.

The construction works lasted less than a year. In the 80s he joined the music, and just before the 1992 Olympic Games were restored completely.
